How to open a Labwyze app on your Mac
The first time you open one of our apps, macOS shows a warning. This is expected: the apps are not yet notarised by Apple, so macOS cannot check who made them. Here is how to open the app. You only do it once per app.
Open the app in 4 steps
Click Done
When the warning “App name Not Opened” appears, click the grey Done button. Do not click “Move to Trash”, which is the blue button.
Open System Settings
Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security.
Find the Security section
Scroll down to the Security section. A message such as “App name was blocked to protect your Mac” appears there, with an Open Anyway button.
Open Anyway
Click Open Anyway, confirm with your password or Touch ID, then open the app again.
The button is not there?
Try to open the app once more, then go back to Privacy & Security. The message appears after an attempt to open the app.
Alternative: one command
Open the Terminal app, paste the line below (replace AppName with the real name, for example WyzeMotion), press Return, then open the app. It removes the flag macOS adds to files downloaded from the web.
xattr -cr /Applications/AppName.appIf macOS says the app is “damaged”, use the same command.
Why does this happen?
macOS checks apps downloaded from the internet. Apps that Apple has not notarised trigger this warning. Opening the app through Open Anyway is a normal macOS step and you only need it the first time. Download the apps only from this site.
